The tuscan countryside is extremely popular among English people. Many of them decide to get married, or simply elope among the rolling hills around Florence, Siena, Lucca and Pisa. Being in the countryside is a nice breakaway from the hustle and bustle of busy cities. Also it is a good way to experience a truly Italian experience by living the Tuscan way for a weekend. In fact, most couples decide to spend quite a few days around and invite their friends and family over to enjoy themselves to the fullest.

As a destination wedding photographer, what I enjoy the most about taking photographs in the countryside is the abundance of space and natural patterns one can leverage to frame their pictures. Also the magnificence of natural textures like stone, soil and vegetation can really add that extra touch of warmth that wedding photographs do need at times.

Another interesting aspect of hosting a wedding in rural locations is the way time flows and how locals relate to the outer environment. There is a true deep respect for the land and its traditions and this is something that guests take back with them. When possibile, I like to insert some of these natural elements in my photographs. This way I can create an endless bond between bride & groom. And the destination they chose for their most special day as well.

This wedding was also fun because of the car that was chosen to take bride & groom around after the civil ceremony. A white convertible Beetle! By looking at the pictures you can certainly tell that riding top down was fun!
