A Dutch wedding this time. In the tuscan countryside. I must admit I am bias to the tuscan countryside. This is where I live, this is what I love.
This is also what this lovely couple from The Netherlands and their guests fell in love with. How can one not fall in love with Tuscany and its countryside? Villa Mangiacane is a beautiful renaissance villa located right at the doors of Chianti. It overlooks the rolling hills and has an amazing view over the city of Florence. Vineyards and olive groves are all around the property. The Italian garden adds a classy touch to the experience. And last but not least the crystal blue water pool.
This wedding was a fun one. Dutch people do definitely know how to enjoy themselves. The overall atmosphere was enjoyable and relaxed. Bride and groom where so easy to work with. As a destination wedding photographer, I love it this way. Also we were extremely lucky with the weather. It had rained for several days but it magically did stop right in time for the ceremony. The celebrant was a dutch comedian and made everybody laugh. Including those who didn’t speak dutch. It felt like being at the theatre.
Dinner was served on the terrace overlooking the garden. After the cake cut, a DJ played some of the best music I have ever listened to. Everybody was up for having fun and danced till early in the morning. As a result, I also took lots of photos during the dancing and played with lighting.
